Hello Fashion Campers!
Fashion Camp is tomorrow, at 10am at ITP on the 4th floor of 721 Broadway (at Waverly, near the 8th Street N/R train.)! Are you excited? We’re excited! A few things you should know:
The forecast for this weekend is rainy. Aren’t you glad you registered for an indoor event? No getting splashed or shivering out in the tents for you! So smart! Tickets are sold out for Saturday and we expect Sunday to sell out soon, so if you have a friend who wants to go, now’s the time to try to snag a spot.
At Fashion Camp there are no spectators, only participants. Come ready to meet people, to share what you’re passionate about, what you want to learn about, and what you can teach others. Presentations at barcamp tend to be relaxed and informal, and even if you’re not sure you want to speak, its a good idea to spend a little time thinking about a topic. There’re some great suggestions for session topics at http://ideas.fashioncamp.org, and anyone’s free to speak about anything. If you find you’d like to speak about a topic that someone else wants to speak about, try reaching out to them and seeing if a joint-presentation or a panel makes sense.
